I came across this ad on expatriates.com offering a 2 year old girl for adoption. I called the local police station and they don’t answer and then I called the Ministry of Social Affairs and a man working in the orphanage department told me that he can’t do anything unless I send an official fax from my workplace! He won’t even take the link to read it for himself.
This is the link to the ad: http://www.expatriates.com/cls/3950834.html
And just in case it gets taken down before you see it here’s a copy:
Wow! That is unbelievable! I am tempted to reply to find out more info, but I don’t want any trouble for myself either!
salam alaykum,
there is going to be conference in Riyadh on child abuse; http://www.arabcanconf.org/
maybe there you could get a clue, about organizations that would show more involvement. In sha Allah.
BTW: I do believe that Committee for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” (mutawwaun) would find a lot of info on this web site (adds of expats in Saudi Arabia) that could help to eliminate or prevent crimes in Saudi Arabia.
Wow! Thats so dodgy! Unbelievable!
Susie I did reply to the ad but so far I haven’t gotten any response yet.
I’ve brought this to the attention of a few journalists…
Thank you Carol
and I’ll take care of it from the MOSA’s side…
Nader please keep us updated.
MOSA did not have any authority to act on the issue, as I have been told. Therefore I managed to bring the issue to the attention of HRH assistant Minster for security affairs. We’ll see what happens.
